Elfin magic, with photos of Elf Training!

The library was abuzz with the magic of Christmas yesterday, as 130 children clocked in for their respective shifts at our annual Elf Training event! This was the first year we had three shifts (1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm). All of our elves-in-training made beautiful ornaments, festive hats, and decorated tasty cookies with gooey green frosting. Of course, elves love to have fun and frolic, so we made sure there was plenty of time for singing, dancing, and games, too! All of our elves received official certificates for a job well done. Our next family event is coming up on Tuesday, December 15th at 6:00 p.m.. The Hampstead Stage Company is performing an adaptation of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in meeting rooms A and B (the same space as Elf Training). We encourage all to attend this wonderful, wintry event! As a reminder to parents and caregivers, we’d love it if you tagged your photos @DerryPublicLibrary on social media. Tell the world how much you love your library! 🙂
